First Reconciliation & First Communion News

First Reconciliation & First Communion 2020 – 2021

Jesus gave us the sacraments so that He could continue to touch us in our daily lives. Through grace, each sacrament draws us into a closer relationship with God. It is the role of all the baptised to hand on our faith and do so by example as well as ensuring children are appropriately prepared for this encounter with Christ in sacrament. Sunday worship is essential to handing on our living faith. Sacramental preparation begins at home through the faith of parents as they bear witness to human and religious values. It is supported and nourished through the parish and school families.

Parents, please check St. Michael’s website for information and registration regarding preparation for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion this year. All children who are celebrating First Eucharist will be prepared for First Reconciliation. Please bring (or attach) a copy of your child’s baptismal certificate with the registration form. Parent meetings will be held in the new year and further information about those will follow.

Please check out the parish website for further dates.

St. Michael’s parish family looks forward to walking in faith with you and your family as your child prepares to encounter Christ in sacrament.
